ThriveCDS is owned and operated by René Kashmiri, a Massachusetts-based educational consultant and former school counselor. A Massachusetts native, René is a graduate of Boston College and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. René has experience in a number of educational roles across a wide net of cities and schools, including Brooklyn, New York, Paterson, New Jersey, and many districts across Massachusetts. She has worked to support students and families wrestling with social and emotional concerns like depression, anxiety, ADHD, divorce, incarceration, substance use, and self-esteem.

Before relocating to her home state of Massachusetts, René also served as Dean of Culture in one of her school-based roles. In this role, René was responsible for the planning and teaching of the school’s Character Education program, culturally competent, consistent, and restorative discipline practice implementation, and the planning and execution of professional development on cultural competency, trauma-informed classrooms, and various other school-wide social and emotional initiatives. It is René’s genuine belief that when given the proper supports and services, all children will thrive. René is currently working as an elementary school counselor in the suburbs of Boston.
